Στις 19.5.2026 η AHEPA München-“Friedrich von Thiersch” e.V. συμμετείχε στην υβριδική συνεδρίαση της Ειδικής Μόνιμης Επιτροπής για τον Ελληνισμό της Διασποράς του Ελληνικού Κοινοβουλίου με θέματα ημερήσιας διάταξης: 1. Ημέρα Μνήμης της Γενοκτονίας Ποντιακού Ελληνισμού και 2. Ελληνοβαυαρικές Σχέσεις: Παράδοση και Προοπτικές. Η ΑΧΕΠΑ Μονάχου εκπροσωπήθηκε από τον αντιπρόεδρό της, δικηγόρο κ. Χρίστο Περπερίδη, ο οποίος παρουσίασε τη συμβολή του νομικού και αντιβασιλέα Ludwig Maurer στη δημιουργία του ελληνικού νομικού συστήματος και από τον αντιπρόεδρο της ΑΧΕΠΑ Ευρώπης, ιστορικό κ. Χρήστο Καφάση, ο οποίος έκανε μία ιστορική αναδρομή στις ελληνοβαυαρικές σχέσεις από την εποχή του βασιλέως Λουδοβίκου Α΄ έως σήμερα.
Στη συνεδρίαση συμμετείχαν επίσης ο Γενικός Πρόξενος της Ελλάδας στο Μόναχο, κ. Κωνσταντίνος Κοδέλλας, ο οποίος μίλησε για το παρόν και το μέλλον των ελληνοβαυαρικών σχέσεων, ο Καθηγητής Βασίλειος Φθενάκης που παρουσίασε τη συμβολή των Ελλήνων επιστημόνων και καλλιτεχνών στη βαυαρική κοινωνία, ο Καθηγητής Κωνσταντίνος Νικολακόπουλος, ο οποίος παρουσίασε το έργο του Ινστιτούτου Ορθοδόξου Θεολογίας του Πανεπιστημίου Μονάχου και η Καθηγήτρια Λίλια Διαμαντοπούλου που παρουσίασε το έργο του Τμήματος Νεοελληνικών Σπουδών του ιδίου πανεπιστημίου. Για την ημέρα μνήμης της Ποντιακής Γενοκτονίας, αλλά και το έργο των συλλόγων τους, μίλησαν ο πρόεδρος του Συλλόγου Ποντίων Μονάχου, κ. Ιωάννης Ζυγανιτίδης, και ο πρόεδρος του Συλλόγου Ποντίων Νυρεμβέργης, κ. Δημήτριος Λαμπρόπουλος. Της συνεδρίασης προήδρευσε ο Αντιπρόεδρος της Επιτροπής και Βουλευτής Δωδεκανήσου (ΠΑΣΟΚ), κ. Γεώργιος Νικητιάδης, ενώ – εκτός του προεδρεύοντος – τοποθετήσεις επί των θεμάτων της ημερήσιας διάταξης έκαναν ο βουλευτής Σερρών (ΝΔ), κ. Θεόφιλος Λεονταρίδης, ο βουλευτής Κορινθίας (ΣΥΡΙΖΑ), κ. Γεώργιος Ψυχογιός, ο βουλευτής Α΄Θεσσαλονίκης (ΚΚΕ), κ. Ιωάννης Δελής, και ο βουλευτής Β2 Δυτικού Τομέα Αθηνών (Νίκη), κ. Ανδρέας Βορύλλας, ως εκπρόσωπος της Κοινοβουλευτικής Ομάδας Φιλίας Ελλάδας-Γερμανίας. Ιδιαίτερη μνεία έγινε από αρκετούς ομιλητές για το ζήτημα της ελληνόφωνης εκπαίδευσης στη Βαυαρία και επισημάνθηκε η ανάγκη ουσιαστικής στήριξης των ελληνικών σχολείων στις πόλεις του Μονάχου και της Νυρεμβέργης.
On May 19, 2026, AHEPA Munich participated in the hybrid meeting of the Greek Parliament’s Standing Committee on Diaspora, with the following items on the agenda: 1. Day of Remembrance for the Genocide of the Pontic Greeks and 2. Greek-Bavarian Relations: Tradition and Prospects. AHEPA Munich was represented by its Vice President, attorney Mr. Christos Perperidis, who presented the contribution of Regent Ludwig Maurer to the establishment of the Greek legal system, and by the Vice President of AHEPA Europe, historian Mr. Christos Kafasis, who provided a historical overview of Greek-Bavarian relations from the time of King Ludwig I to the present day.
The meeting was also attended by the Consul General of Greece in Munich, Mr. Konstantinos Kodellas, who spoke about the present and future of Greek-Bavarian relations, Professor Vasilios Fthenakis, who presented the contribution of Greek scientists and artists to Bavarian society, Professor Konstantinos Nikolakopoulos, who introduced the work of the Institute of Orthodox Theology at the University of Munich, and Professor Lilia Diamantopoulou presenting the work of the Department of Modern Greek Studies at the same university. The president of the Munich Pontian Association, Mr. Ioannis Zyganitidis, and the president of the Pontian Association of Nuremberg, Mr. Dimitrios Lampropoulos, spoke about the day commemorating the Pontian Genocide, as well as the work of their associations.
The meeting was chaired by the Co-Chair of the Committee and MoP for the Dodecanese (PASOK), Mr. Georgios Nikitiadis, while – in addition to the presiding officer – statements on the subjects were made by the MoP for Serres (Nea Dimokratia), Mr. Theophilos Leontaridis, the MoP for Corinth (SYRIZA), Mr. Georgios Psychogios, the MoP for District A of Thessaloniki (KKE), Mr. Ioannis Delis, and the MoP for Athens West Sector B2 (Niki), Mr. Andreas Vorillas, who attended as representative of the Greece-Germany Parliamentary Friendship Group. Several speakers made special mention of the issue of Greek education in Bavaria and highlighted the need for substantial support for Greek schools in the cities of Munich and Nuremberg.
The discussion in the Parliament took place upon initiative of the Committee Chair and MoP from the Cyclades (Nea Dimokratia), Mr. Filippos Fortomas, who was unable to attend but received warm thanks from all the speakers for his initiative.
