Στις 24 Νοεμβρίου, το Τμήμα Α610 των Βρυξελλών είχε τη χαρά και την τιμή να φιλοξενήσει τον πρ. Πρόεδρο του Euro-Working Group (EWG), κ. Thomas Wieser, ο οποίος μοιράστηκε με τα μέλη του Τμήματος τις εμπειρίες του από τις δύσκολες διαπραγματεύσεις κατά την ελληνική οικονομική κρίση του 2009-2018. Κατά την επιγενόμενη συζήτηση, ο υψηλός προσκεκλημένος απέδειξε ξεκάθαρα τη φιλελληνική του στάση, όπως εκφράστηκε, μεταξύ άλλων, από τον καταλυτικό του ρόλο στην αποφυγή του επώδυνου Grexit και, για το λόγο αυτό, θα τιμηθεί από το Τμήμα των Βρυξελλών με την απονομή αναμνηστικής πλακέτας στο αμέσως επόμενο διάστημα.

On November 24, A610 Brussels Chapter had the honour and pleasure to host the former President of the Euro-Working Group (EWG), Mr. Thomas Wieser, who shared with Chapter members his experiences and lessons learnt from the tough negotiations within the EU during the Greek economic and financial crisis of 2009-2018. In the ensuing discussion, the high-level guest clearly proved his philhellenic stance, as expressed inter alia through his crucial role in preventing an extremely painful Grexit against all odds at the time. For these reasons, Mr. Wieser will be honoured by the Brussels Chapter with a special distinction award in the coming period.
