AHEPA Delegation visits Brussels and Supreme President attends District 28 Conference in Genval, Belgium

An AHEPA Delegation led by Supreme Vice-President, Bro. Lou Atsaves, visited the EU and NATO Headquarters in Brussels on April, 8. The AHEPA Supreme Leadership met, among others, the Greek Ambassador to NATO, H.E. Spyros Lampridis, the Greek Military Representative to NATO and the EU, Vice-Admiral Ioannis Pavlopoulos, the Metropolitan of Belgium and Exarch of the Netherlands and Luxembourg, Athenagoras, the Greek Permanent Representative to the EU, Ambassador Ioannis Vrailas and the Greek Ambassador to Belgium, H,E. Dionyssios Kalamvrezos. 

The latter became a member of the Order together with a number of new brothers from Europe in a mass initiation ceremony held on April 9 at the beginning of District 28 mid-term Conference, which took place at the idyllic town of Genval in the outskirts of Brussels. Supreme President, Bro Jimmy Kokotas, attended the event, together with SVP Lou Atsaves, PSPs George Horiates, and Andy Zachariades, as well as Supreme Governor Region 10, Bro. Yiannis Mitropoulos, who addressed their remarks to some 90 participants from 14 AHEPA Chapters across Europe. The event was preceded by a cocktail reception and a welcome dinner hosted by the Brussels-based AHEPA 610 Chapter “The European Eagle”. The AHEPA Supreme Leadership received awards from District 28 Governor Dimosthenis Mammonas, PDG Georgios Kritikos, and A610 Officers for their contribution to Hellenism and the Organization’s expansion in Europe.
