The AHEPA Chapter A618, “Friedrich von Thiersch,” based in Munich, Germany, has been honored with the 2025 AHEPA Chapter of the Year Award. The award was presented by AHEPA’s Supreme President, Savas Tsivicos at the 2025 AHEPA Supreme Convention, which takes place from July 21st to 26th in Orlando, Florida, and was received by Alex Makridis, the chapter’s former vice president and current treasurer of AHEPA Europe, on behalf of AHEPA Munich’s Board. This honor recognizes the chapter’s multifaceted efforts to promote Hellenism in Germany and its significant contribution to strengthening the presence of AHEPA, the largest and oldest grassroots association of the Greek Diaspora, in Europe.
